The Diversity Alliance for Science (DA4S), in collaboration with AstraZeneca, has introduced an intensive Sustainability Accelerator Program aimed at enhancing the business readiness and growth of small and diverse enterprises. This initiative seeks to initiate these businesses’ sustainability journeys, providing them with a competitive edge in the marketplace. Program Objectives and StructureThe program is designed to help participants:• Gain a comprehensive understanding of sustainability fundamentals.
• Assess their company’s sustainability impact.
• Develop a tailored sustainability roadmap and action plan.
The curriculum is delivered through a series of sessions, each focusing on critical aspects of sustainability:Sustainability Foundations: An overview of sustainability concepts, their importance, and their potential impact on businesses.Best Practice Sharing & Sustainability Tools: Guidance on integrating sustainability into business operations, featuring insights from partners like EcoVadis, CDP, and SBTi.
AstraZeneca’s Expectations & Sustainability Action Plan: Discussion on industry trends, supplier expectations, and the essentials of crafting a sustainability action plan, including best practices from a small diverse supplier.
Challenges & Opportunities: An interactive panel with AstraZeneca executives discussing the challenges and opportunities in the sustainable marketplace.
